The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hammond Academy of Science & Tech in their matchups with 21st Century Charter: they've now lost six in a row.
21st Century Charter found their leader in underclassman Terrence Hayes, who scored 28 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hayes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jacolby Donaldson, who scored 16 points along with six assists and three steals.
Hammond Academy of Science & Tech's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for 21st Century Charter, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
Hammond Academy of Science & Tech won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th.
