Sunnyside won the last time they faced Marana and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Sunnyside Blue Devils claimed a resounding  77-17 victory over the Marana Tigers. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15  contests by 23  points or more this season.
Sunnyside got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Esabella Barajas out in front who  posted 14 points along with five  assists and five  steals. The dominant performance gave  Barajas a new career-high in  assists. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dora Medina, who  earned 14  points in addition to eight  boards and seven  assists.
 Sunnyside  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 21  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least ten  offensive boards in 14 consecutive  games.
Sunnyside is  on a roll lately: they've  won 14 of their last 15 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record  this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Marana,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-16.
 Sunnyside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  56-45  victory against Rincon/University on the 7th. As for Marana, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Tucson High Magnet School  at 7:00  p.m.  on February 11th.
