Northview extended the longest winning streak in Ottawa-Kent - Bronze this week by beating Cedar Springs, 34-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Wildcats.
Northview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Robbie Meadows threw for 41 yards and Harry Julien had 22 yards receiving. On the ground Andrew Homik chipped in 164 yards. Jeff Storms helped Northview's passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.
Northview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Meadows has thrown for 546 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Chad Walton has 13 catches for 246 yards. Brandon Lawrence leads the league in rushing with 823 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when West Catholic takes on the Red Hawks. At the moment, the Falcons are in second, while Cedar Springs is in third.
Forest Hills Northern moved up to 175 from 206 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ottawa-Kent - Bronze. A 63-28 win over Forest Hills Eastern helped the Huskies improve their standing.
