The St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Edison 48-8 on the road. The result was nothing new for St. Thomas Aquinas, who have now won eight matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
St. Thomas Aquinas can attribute much of their success to Elijah Abass-shereef, who rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Chase Young also helped out as he racked up 116 rushing yards.
St. Thomas Aquinas' win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. As for Edison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
St. Thomas Aquinas will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Holy Spirit at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Edison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Piscataway at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
