The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rifle, who took down 43rd ranked Delta, 52-27. Brock Clark ran for 193 yards during the win.
Palisade was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Eagle Valley. The Bulldogs came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Henry Hill was a force in the backfield as Glenwood Springs beat Montezuma-Cortez.
Cade Gafford threw for 316 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 26-41 with 0 interceptions.
Gafford put up the best numbers through the air as the Panthers fell to the Bears. Gafford's favorite target this week was Ryan Whiteside, who caught 11 passes for 159 yards.
Delta's Gafford and Whiteside led 3A Western Slope in both passing and receiving yards. 6-6 quarterback Gafford has thrown for 1,538 yards this season, while Whiteside has 53 catches for 748 yards. The Demons' Hill leads the league in rushing yards with 1,271.
Levi Hoaglund of the Palisade is just 42 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Hoaglund has rushed for 958 yards on 102 carries so far this year.
At the moment, the Devils are in fifth, while Rifle is in second.
Glenwood Springs extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Panthers, 35-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Demons.
