The Blair Vikings's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against Mary Star of the Sea by a score of 60-47. The score was all tied up 26-26 at the break, but Blair was the better team in the second half.
Blair found their leader in underclassman Timmy Anderson, who scored 28 points along with nine assists. Another player making a difference was Serigne Deme, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Blair's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blair on the road again on Wednesday and play against South Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. South Pasadena has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,407 points over their last 19 matchups. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they will head out on the road to face off against Bosco Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bosco Tech presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mary Star of the Sea in California (Bosco Tech is ranked 149th, while Mary Star of the Sea is ranked 374th).
