The Baker Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by Theodore on the road and fell 67-40. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Baker in their matchups with Theodore: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Jazmyn Bigham, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds for Theodore. Bigham also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Parklyn Floyd, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Baker bumped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Theodore, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baker will take on Mary G. Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Theodore, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Murphy at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
