The Piqua Indians couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Graham Local by a score of 44-41. Piqua has not had much luck with Graham Local recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Graham Local got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Yukon out in front who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zoey Conn, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Piqua's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Graham Local, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Piqua will be playing at home against Xenia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Graham Local will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th.
