Our Lady of Lourdes has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Wallkill Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Our Lady of Lourdes will be strutting in after a win while Wallkill will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, everything went Our Lady of Lourdes' way against Saugerties as Our Lady of Lourdes made off with a 69-45 victory.
Meanwhile, Wallkill couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to Chapel Field Christian 53-47.
Despite the defeat, Wallkill got a solid performance out of Michael Fanning, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of George Avila, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.
Our Lady of Lourdes' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Wallkill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Our Lady of Lourdes couldn't quite finish off Wallkill in their previous meeting back in February and fell 50-48. Can Our Lady of Lourdes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
