It was fun while it lasted, but Mystic Valley Regional's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Monday. They were dealt a 71-29 defeat at the hands of the Swampscott Big Blue. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Mystic Valley Regional still got an impressive performance from Dalton Kinnon, who posted five points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mystic Valley Regional fell to 4-1. As for Swampscott, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Mystic Valley Regional didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-39 victory against Northeast Metro RVT on the 2nd. As for Swampscott, they will challenge Saugus at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. One thing working in Swampscott's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
