Northside Falcons HomeSchool's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Silsbee with a sharp 9-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.
Grady Williams tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Kaleb Steiger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Houston Christian won against Wayne Academy last Thursday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Houston Christian walked away with a 6-2 victory over Needville. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Kaden Worley was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Worley wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Davenport, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Kirby Orth was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Houston Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
The victory got Houston Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Northside Falcons HomeSchool, their record is now 17-4-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Northside Falcons HomeSchool hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Houston Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
