Everything went their way against the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-5 victory. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Ambassadors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Quinn Freakley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wilnette Torres, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Kennedy Glenn also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Peninsula Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norfolk Christian only posted a batting average of .250.
Peninsula Catholic's record now sits at 12-6. As for Norfolk Christian, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.
