The Somerset Academy Losee Lions can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 62-27 victory over Valley. The win was familiar territory for Somerset Academy Losee who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Somerset Academy Losee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Key Thrower, who scored 17 points. Thrower hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Lewis, who scored 16 points.
Destiny Haliburton and Jennifer Hughes certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Haliburton scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, while Hughes scored six points.
Somerset Academy Losee's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points per game. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy Losee will take on the Bengals at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bonanza will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Lions are ranked 31st). As for Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
