The Eastside Rams will head out to take on the Buchholz Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eastside was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Trenton. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.
Eastside wouldn't go down easily and took Trenton into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-18, 22-25, 15-25, 25-16, 15-13.

Eastside can attribute much of their success to Essence Davis, who had four digs and four aces. What's more, Davis posted three kills, the most she's had since back in August.
Meanwhile, Buchholz hadn't done well against Santa Fe recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bobcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Raiders.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23.
Eastside better focus on containing Izzy Carter and Julia Almond as the pair were huge in Buchholz's win. Carter had 21 digs and two aces, while Almond had 23 assists and 11 digs. Almond is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 23 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Lily Vaillancourt also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Buchholz was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive contests.
Eastside's record is now 3-15. As for Buchholz, their record now sits at 9-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's match: Eastside has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Buchholz struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Eastside might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Buchholz in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
