The Hamilton Aggies will be playing at home against the Curry Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hamilton has six straight wins, Curry has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hamilton beat Russellville 51-47.
Aubrey Sorrells continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hamilton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Parker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Curry suffered their biggest defeat since November 16, 2023 on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Cordova, falling 57-28. While losing is never fun, Curry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Cordova is ranked 149th).
Hamilton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Curry, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Hamilton took their win against Curry in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 54-28. Does Hamilton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Curry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
