The Worthington Kilbourne Wolves waltzed into their game Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They put the hurt on Westerville North with a sharp 55-32 win. Given Worthington Kilbourne's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while Westerville North is ranked 617th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Worthington Kilbourne to victory were Oliviah Wilkerson and Lilly Schultheis. Wilkerson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Schultheis dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Bella White was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Worthington Kilbourne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Westerville North, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Worthington Kilbourne will head out on the road to face off against Westerville South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westerville South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Westerville North, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dublin Scioto at 7:00 p.m.
