Northshore's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Chalmette. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Shaw might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Holy Cross who claimed the real prize. Archbishop Shaw lost 12-2 to Holy Cross. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Tigers since April 18, 2021.

Archbishop Shaw saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Percle, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Northshore pushed their record up to 24-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Archbishop Shaw, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
