Baseball Recap: Mcnairy Central's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

McNairy Central came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Madison Mustangs 9-2. Considering the Bobcats have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Case Rickman was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Kiestler, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

McNairy Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madison only posted a batting average of .125.

McNairy Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9-1.

McNairy Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-9 defeat against Bolivar Central on the 18th. As for Madison, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-4 loss against Union City on the 18th.
