Konley Cova Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Wheatland got the W thanks in part to Konley Cova playing the best football he has all season. Cova's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up three sacks and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).
The victory for Wheatland keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Cova will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Marysville on Friday.

Oakmont Gets a Boost from Ogles in 28-7 Victory
Oakmont found a leader in Beau Ogles as the team took down Lincoln on Friday. Lincoln had no answer to Ogles as he threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 50 yards.
Oakmont's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Ogles and Oakmont will take on Mira Loma at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Colton Burns Goes Supernova in Wheatland Win
Colton Burns was instrumental in extending Wheatland's winning streak to seven on Friday. Burns was dynamite, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Jaylen Brown Turns in Season-Best Performance
Jaylen Brown produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Marysville to the win on Friday. Brown rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 138 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.
Marysville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Brown will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Wheatland on Friday.
