Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family won the last time they faced Willows Academy, and Elizabeth Beto did her part to make sure it happened again. Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family enjoyed a cozy 57-43 victory over the Willows Academy Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to Beto, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Nora Kennedy was another key player, going 6 of 10 on her way to 12 points and six rebounds. Those 12 points gave her a new career-high.

The win was the third in a row for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points per game. As for Willows Academy, their loss ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family will host Families of Faith Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Willows Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge North Shore Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
