The DuQuoin Indians fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 63-53 victory over Frankfort on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for DuQuoin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Eli Maynor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trelin Smith, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
DuQuoin's victory bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Frankfort, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DuQuoin will stay at home for another game and welcome Anna-Jonesboro at 7:45 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully DuQuoin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Frankfort, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Benton at 7:45 p.m. Benton will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Frankfort surely won't give up without a fight.
