There's no place like home for Blue Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Front Royal HomeSchool Flames on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Jays, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Dominic Paul and Lochlan 'Bear' Paul were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Paul pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Lochlan 'Bear' tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. At bat, Paul earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases, while Lochlan 'Bear' got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Jacob West was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 13 matches. Another player making a difference was Hudson Slye, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Blue Ridge's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Front Royal HomeSchool, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-9.
