Sumner had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Varnado Wildcats on Wednesday as the Sumner Cowboys made off with a 12-1 win. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Sumner's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Varnado, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Sumner wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-2 win against Springfield on the 13th. As for Varnado, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-0 defeat against Albany on the 14th.
