Maple Mountain never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Timpview on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp  14-1 victory. Considering the Golden Eagles have won 13 games by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Carly Erickson made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kyla Donegan, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Chelsie Carter, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double.
 Maple Mountain was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .429. They are 11-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Maple Mountain is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Timpview,  they are  on  a  21-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
 Coming up, Maple Mountain is taking a road trip to  face off against Spanish Fork  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Timpview, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against North Sevier  at 3:30  p.m.
