Chatham found their leader in underclassman Jakiyah Giggetts, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Giggetts has scored at least a third of Chatham's points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Ward, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Chatham is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for William Campbell, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatham will take on the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Virginia (Appomattox County is ranked 242nd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 258th). As for William Campbell, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Hilltoppers at 5:30 p.m. Glass is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
