Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Twentynine Palms). They enjoyed a cozy 44-25 win over the Indio Rajahs on Thursday. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 14-0 victory the Rajahs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
Twentynine Palms found their leader in sophomore Josh Reynoso, who rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 97 yards and one TD. Those 137 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Reynoso.
Twentynine Palms was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 373 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
Twentynine Palms didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aaron Haney and Shad Johnson. Twentynine Palms received some extra help from Jeremiah Perez, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
The win got Twentynine Palms back to even at 4-4. As for Indio, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
