Elmwood waltzed into their game  on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Liberty-Benton Eagles 18-8. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten  runs or more this season.
 Addi Hoffman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs and one  double. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.

 In other batting news,  Trinity Sander was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with five  RBI, three  doubles,  and two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Maddy Campbell was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with four  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
Elmwood's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-5. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty-Benton, their  loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elmwood will venture away from home to  square off against Leipsic  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Liberty-Benton, they will take on Calvert at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Senecas have averaged an impressive 11.4  runs per game this season.
