AA Region III recap September 24, 2013
Peter Easaw of Keenan ran for the longest rushing play in AA Region III this season against York last week. Easaw's team lost to the Cougars as he sprinted for 73 yards on the play and finished with 123 in all.
Fairfield Central extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Union County, 35-11. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Easaw was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Tiski Gray added to the ground attack by rushing for 63 yards.
DeAndre Belton put up the best numbers in passing as Fairfield Central bested the Yellowjackets. He had a total of 7 completions for 155 yards. Belton's favorite target this week was Kewaun Squirewell, who caught 4 passes for 99 yards.
Jordan Reid was the best wideout in AA Region III this week as Keenan fell to York. Reid racked up 5 receptions for 91 yards. Jalon Wilson helped Keenan's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 51 yards.
Keenan's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Deion Trezevant has thrown for 843 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Kendrick Gathers has 13 catches for 262 yards.
Quin McCollum's team fell to Bobby Carroll's team 57-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Easaw was a bright spot for the Raiders, as he caught 3 passes for 25 yards in the loss.
