The Tahoma Bears came tearing into Thursday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 victory over Decatur. Given Tahoma's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Decatur is ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tahoma found their leader in underclassman Adalynn Busch, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Busch continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Wooten, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Tahoma pushed their record up to 14-2 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.86 points. As for Decatur, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.
Coincidentally, Tahoma and Decatur will both be playing Kennedy Catholic the next time they take the court. Decatur will head out to face Kennedy Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Tahoma will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
