Penn Manor (Millersville, Pa.) came into Saturday's contest ranked No. 23 in Pennsylvania, but was stunned by
Wilson (West Lawn, Pa.), 14-7. Wilson was ranked at No. 26 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Pennsylvania coming into the week.
The Bulldogs were up 7-0 at the half after taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the second quarter.
Wilson led by as many as 14 points before the Comets cut into the final margin.
Adam Sahd made a difference for Penn Manor. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown.
PM's lone touchdown came on a 6-yard pass from Sahd to
Brett Caggiano in the fourth quarter.
WHS went into the matchup giving up only 7.3 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 37-17 win for the West Lawn school.
The defeat comes as a step back for Penn Manor, which notched a 40-6 victory over Warwick in its previous outing.
Penn Manor (8-1) will play a Lancaster-Lebanon 1 game against Cedar Crest next week, while Wilson (8-1) will take on Warwick also in a Lancaster-Lebanon 1 game.
