Baseball Recap: North Pocono Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

North Pocono proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns 9-7. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Buckhorns: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jake Reese, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

Reese wasn't the only one working in the home run department: North Pocono lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

North Pocono pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
