The Antietam Mountaineers lost against the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Antietam took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Owen J. Roberts.
AJ Schiefly and Shawn Raffety certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Schiefly scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, while Raffety scored 12 points. Schiefly has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Denzel Severino was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Antietam's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Owen J. Roberts, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.
Antietam will be playing in front of their home fans against Fleetwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fleetwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Antietam in Pennsylvania (Fleetwood is ranked 158th, while Antietam is ranked 479th). As for Owen J. Roberts, they will head out on the road to take on Boyertown at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Boyertown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
