Frederica Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 59-54 W over the Twiggs County Cobras. Given Frederica Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Twiggs County is ranked 549th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Cobras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniel Pitts, who went 8 of 11 en route to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Davis, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points.

Frederica Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Twiggs County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Frederica Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-53 win against Westfield School on the 21st. Twiggs County has also already played their next contest, a 65-42 defeat against Stratford Academy on the 21st.
