The Brookland Bearcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Batesville Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Brookland has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Batesville will arrive with three straight wins.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-3, which was the final score in Brookland's tilt against Valley View on Friday. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.67 points per game. As for Batesville, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 3-4.
Brookland was dealt a bruising 51-7 defeat at the hands of Batesville when the teams last played back in October of 2022.
