The Bob Hope Eagles put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Johnson Bayou on the road to the tune of 79-39. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bob Hope's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 689th in Texas, while Johnson Bayou is ranked 304th in Louisiana).
It was another big night for Alijah Airiavbere, who scored 28 points along with 7 steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Daniel Canales was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Bob Hope's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Johnson Bayou, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Bob Hope will take on Woodville at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday. As for Johnson Bayou, they will play host again and welcome Merryville, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Merryville is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
