Baseball Recap: Bryant Comes Up Short

The Bryant Owls came up short against the Bowne Wildcats on Friday, falling 9-1. The match marked the Owls' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bryant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Cepin, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Cepin has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Sheikh Islam also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Bryant now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bowne, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Bryant will take on Long Island City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Owls are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
