North East has gone 8-2 against Seneca recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Grape Pickers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. North East is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.
North East came out on top against Erie on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Grape Pickers walked away with an 8-3 win over the Royals. The victory continues a trend for the Grape Pickers in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won three in a row.

Colton Owens and Gabe Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Owens tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Smith pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Owens went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Smith got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Owens a new career-high.
In other batting news, Braydon Cornman and Jerek Turlij did most of the damage at the plate: Cornman went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Turlij went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That triple marked the first that Cornman has hit this season. Rylan Orengia was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Seneca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to Fairview.
Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for North East, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Seneca's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North East has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .461. It's a different story for Seneca, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain North East's hitters?
