The Chittenango Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Cortland Purple Tigers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chittenango focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
Chittenango had to start their season on the road , and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Ludden.
Chittenango's loss came about despite a quality game from Ryan Moesch, who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. Jacob Cheek was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Cortland couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 55-44 to Ithaca last Saturday.

Chittenango came out on top in a nail-biter against Cortland in their previous meeting back in March of 2021, sneaking past 45-43. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Cortland's Max Gambitta, who scored 21 points.
