Peachtree Academy faced Kings Way Christian School in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Peachtree Academy got past Kings Way Christian School with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 40-34.
Meanwhile, the match between Young Americans Christian and Peoples Baptist Academy last Friday was not a total blowout, but with Young Americans Christian falling 6-26, it was darn close. Young Americans Christian were down by 0-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Peachtree Academy's win lifted them to 8-0 while Young Americans Christian's defeat dropped them down to 5-3. We'll see if Peachtree Academy's success rolls on or if Young Americans Christian are able to steal their positive momentum.
