Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Rockhurst Hawklets walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 38-14 margin over the Eagles. The win was nothing new for Rockhurst as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Aidan Ryan was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hansen, who threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns.
Rockhurst's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Nixa, their loss dropped their record down to 11-1.
Rockhurst is on the road again on Friday and play against Liberty North at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Liberty North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Rockhurst likes a good challenge. Nixa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
