Basketball Game Preview: Colleyville Heritage Panthers vs. Ryan Raiders

Two dominant guards in Bodey Weaver and Nate Barillas-Freeman are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Colleyville Heritage Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Ryan Raiders at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Colleyville Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.

Colleyville Heritage took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Denton, sneaking past 65-62.

Colleyville Heritage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cash Gardner out in front who went 10 for 17 en route to 28 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Gardner has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was D?Mauri Evans, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 18 points.

Meanwhile, Ryan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 65-60 to Grapevine. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Colleyville Heritage, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Colleyville Heritage didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Ryan in their previous matchup on January 3rd, but they still walked away with a 64-59 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colleyville Heritage since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
