Pace had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Oviedo Lions get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Patriots have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Pace, bringing their record up to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Oviedo, they moved to 12-16 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Pace will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
