Jadyn Coaker was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Crawford, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Elk Grove lost, one person who can't be blamed is MJ Bhatia. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bhatia has scored all season.
Davis Sr.'s victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Elk Grove, they bumped their record down to 8-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Davis Sr. will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sheldon at 7:30 p.m. Sheldon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Davis Sr. in California (Sheldon is ranked 104th, while Davis Sr. is ranked 476th). As for Elk Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Cosumnes Oaks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cosumnes Oaks knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Elk Grove likes a good challenge.
