The Carey Panthers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Glenns Ferry and snuck past 35-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Carey has posted yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Glenns Ferry saw an underclassman step up: Sahira Arevalo scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jazmin Arevalo, who scored six points.
Carey's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Glenns Ferry, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.
