West Point-Beemer is 8-2 against Stanton since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The West Point-Beemer Cadets will be playing at home against the Stanton Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, West Point-Beemer was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-26 to Yutan.
Despite the loss, West Point-Beemer saw an underclassman step up: Hunter Swanson dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Colten Haber, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Stanton managed to keep up with Tekamah-Herman until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Stanton suffered a tough 53-32 defeat at the hands of Tekamah-Herman. Stanton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Stanton had strong showings from Barrett Wilke, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals, and Mitchell Hupp, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
