Basketball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Comes Up Short

If Sports Leadership & Management was riding high fresh off their 74-50 takedown of Abundant Life Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sports Leadership & Management Giants were outmatched by the Pine Crest Panthers and fell 84-40. The Giants were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-24.

Despite the loss, Sports Leadership & Management still got an impressive performance from Diego Gonzalez, who posted seven points and nine rebounds. Gonzalez is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last nine games he's played.

Rowan Hoffman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pine Crest, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 17 rebounds. Alex Jenkins was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Sports Leadership & Management has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Pine Crest, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Sports Leadership & Management wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 76-34 defeat against Somerset Academy Key on the 14th. Pine Crest has also already played their next matchup, a 47-44 loss against Coral Springs Charter on the 15th.
