Basketball Recap: Eisenhower Comes Up Short

Eisenhower lost against Andover back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eisenhower Tigers took a blow against the Andover Trojans, falling 73-38. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Trojans are ranked eighth).

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reagan Best, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Best has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Mallori Rose was another key player, putting up five points and six boards.

Leading Andover to victory were Aliyah Green and Bella Bouddhara. Green dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Bouddhara earned 15 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Green a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Siegrist, who scored 11 points along with six boards and five assists.

Eisenhower dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Andover, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andover, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Goddard at 6:00 p.m. Andover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.4 points per game this season.
