Greenville H had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Greater Gwinnett Christian Barons as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Adam Greene spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Richard Jacobs III and JJ Nixon did most of the damage at the plate: Jacobs III scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Nixon scored two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Nixon has posted since back in March. Owen Giles was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Greenville H's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Greater Gwinnett Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Barons beat Greenville H by a score of 5-4 later that day.
