The Valley Mills Eagles lost against the Hamilton Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Valley Mills was beaten by the Bulldogs 61-29. Valley Mills has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Hamilton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addy Massingill led the charge by scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Massingill has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Bragg, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Valley Mills has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for Hamilton, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 21-9.
Valley Mills will head out on the road to challenge the Gladiators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Italy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday. As for Hamilton, they will be playing at home against the Polar Bears at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Frost is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
