Last Wednesday, Lynn English made easy work of Everett and carried off an 8-2 win. The victory was just what Lynn English needed coming off of a 15-8 defeat in their prior game.
Alijah Wallace tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk).
At the plate, Gilbert Galva was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Jordan Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
After soaring to a 11-point win in their last game, Lynn Classical came back down to earth on Wednesday. They fell just short of Malden by a score of 8-6.
The victory got Lynn English back to even at 1-1. As for Lynn Classical, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
